About this blog
PR + advertising advice for independent retailers + designers. Ideas for blogs + magazines on how to design advertising partnerships with independent stores. Hint: Banner ads and print ads are not where it's at.
I did a double take when Belynda Henry was profiled on The Design Files but I fell well and truly when ‘Lemon Tree’ appeared over on the Adore Home Magazine blog. Loving those feathery mountains. And the colours! There’s something about that bloody red.
I was recently reading an article in Broadsheet Melbourne when these words from Chris Sanderson of trend forecasting agency The Future Laboratory caught my eye.
It should come as no surprise to hear that we think ALL independent designers and retailers who sell online should be trying to get bloggers to talk about their wares.

“You can feel the spirit of punk in retail at the moment. It’s a really exciting time.” When Kevin Sanderson, lovely owner of eclectic Perth-based gift, furniture and homewares boutiques Store and Corner Store, mentioned these words, it felt like stadium lights were switched on. What a perfect analogy!
